Moving abroad? Decide calmly whether to sell or keep your home.
One team for both paths. Sell with AMSTR Property, or keep your home and let it, fully managed by our partner Solworth. Before you decide, you get an honest side-by-side comparison of both options.
Whatever you choose, it's arranged for you.
Sell your home
For owners who want a clean break and their equity freed up.
- Market valuation and a clear pricing strategy
- Viewings and negotiations handled, even after you've left
- Notary and transfer arranged, with a power of attorney if you're abroad
- Timing planned around your move date
Keep it and let it
For owners who want to keep their investment, or come back one day.
- Rent set correctly under Dutch rent rules (points system)
- Tenant screening, contract, check-in and check-out
- Maintenance, inspections and one point of contact
- An annual statement your tax adviser can use directly
Both numbers, side by side. Then you decide.
You receive a personal overview for your home. No sales pitch: if selling is the better choice for you, we'll say so.
Amsterdam enforces its rental rules actively.
Rent is regulated
Since 2024 many homes fall under a points-based maximum rent. Ask too much and a tenant can claim it back.
Permits and reporting
Mid-rent tenants need a housing permit, and a home that stands empty for over six months must be reported to the city.

Questions owners ask
Can I sell my home after I've already moved?
Yes. We handle viewings and negotiations, and the transfer at the notary can be signed by power of attorney.
Am I allowed to rent out my home?
Usually, but not always. Your mortgage lender must agree, and some homes (for example certain new-builds on leasehold land) have restrictions. We check this for you in the comparison.
What does management cost?
Management is a percentage of the monthly rent and includes an annual compliance check and a year-end statement. You receive an exact quote together with your comparison.
How are AMSTR Property and Solworth related?
They are affiliated companies. That's why we show you both options with real numbers, so you can see our advice is in your interest.
